Dr. Kalbfleisch shares in this belief and works together with you to coordinate the planning, provision and art of your smile!!!

Dr. Kalbfleisch completed his dentistry degree (DDS) at the University of Western Ontario in 1980 following which he completed an internship at the Hospital for Sick Children, graduate orthodontic training at the University of Toronto (D. Ortho. - 1983) and a Masters of Science degree at U. of T. (MSc - 1988). During his postgraduate training he remained associated with the Facial Centre at the Hospital for Sick Children as a part-time consultant. Dr. Kalbfleisch has received Fellowship status with the Pierre Fauchard Academy. In Decemeber 2006, he was elected to the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (the regulatory body for dentistry in Ontario), on which he is currently serving his third term.

Dr. Kalbfleisch is currently a member of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, Ontario Association of Orthodontists, European Orthodontic Society, American Cleft Palate - Craniofacial Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Canadian Dental Association, and the Ontario Dental Association. He is honoured to be a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

Dr. Kalbfleisch has also held multiple positions throughout his career, including past President of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, Toronto Orthodontic Study Club, and the Halton-Peel Dental Association. He is a past Governor of the Ontario Dental Association, an ODA Government Relations Committee member, has served on the Faculty Council for the school of Dentistry at the University of Toronto and at the U of T Graduate Orthodontic Alumni Association. For 21 years, he co-coordinated the Adult Orthodontic Clinic in the Graduate Orthodontic Program at U of T as well as a Business Practice Management Program. He is currently on staff at both the Credit Valley and Mississauga-Queensway (Trillium) Hospitals.

Dr. Kalbfleisch is the recipient of many awards. Most notably, in his final year of dentistry at UWO, the Centennial Pediatric Dentistry Award, American Academy of Oral Radiology Award, and Fourth Year Clinical Paedodontic's Award.

One of Dr. Kalbfleisch's current passions is in the area of the utilization of technology in orthodontics and the internet as a communication and educational tool for dentists across Canada. Dr. Kalbfleisch was involved with the formation of "iCANADEN"... internet CANAdian DENtistry. Dr. Kalbfleisch has also authored several articles on orthodontics as well as on the specific area of Obstructive Sleep Apnea in both Canadian and American Journals. He also helped co-author a Canadian Dental Association booklet on orthodontics.

Dr. Kalbfleisch and his partners are grateful for their community and enjoy the opportunity of giving back in many ways. Dr. Kalbfleisch currently provides support for the Salvation Army, the Food Bank, Erica's Wish, Canadian Cancer Society, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Mississauga Epilepsy, and the Canadian Parkinson's Association. He has been involved with AboutFace International, and along with his partners has provided sponsorship of the "Family/teen Lounge" in the Paediatric Department of the Credit Valley Hospital and the initiation and support of a "Children's Gift Bag" program for young in-patients of CVH.

Dr. Kalbfleisch's personal interests include running, cycling the "Ride to Conquer Cancer," the farm, skiing, and horology (the science of time, timekeeping and timekeepers). His greatest passions, however, remain his wife, Lianne, and 4 daughters, Jenny, Marissa, Melanie, and the baby of the family, Olivia.
