How The SureCure Treatment Process Works

Posted Aug 17th, 2022 in Clear Aligners, Mississauga

Want to straighten your smile without metal brackets or wires? SureCure may be your ideal orthodontic treatment. Today, our Village Orthodontics - Mississauga Square One orthodontists explain how the SureCure treatment process works.

You might find that SureCure is the best orthodontic solution for you if you want a straighter smile but don't want to wear traditional metal braces. Here's how the SureCure system works to get your teeth straighter over time.

1. Consultation

Starting with a consultation with your Village Orthodontics - Mississauga Square One orthodontist, you can begin your SureCure journey to a straighter smile. At the time of your initial SureCure consultation, your orthodontist will perform a thorough examination of your teeth and mouth in order to determine whether or not SureCure is the best orthodontic treatment option for you.

If you are a good candidate for SureCure treatment, your orthodontist will show you a preview of how your smile will look after SureCure treatment is completed. Your orthodontist will explain why you are not a good candidate for SureCure treatment and will discuss alternative treatment options with you.

2. Receive your personalized treatment plan

Following the consultation, your orthodontist will take detailed scans and/or impressions of your teeth in order to create a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. You'll be given a SureCure treatment plan outlining your treatment steps over the next few months.

3. Aligners are custom-made for you

Once your treatment plan has been finalized, the scans and/or impressions of your teeth will be sent to SureCure's manufacturing facility, where your aligners will be custom-made to fit your specific teeth and bite requirements.

Your SureCure clear aligners will be made of a thin flexible plastic material known as SmartTrack®, which is thin and flexible. SureCure aligners do not contain BPA, BPS, latex, or gluten.

4. Treatment begins

As soon as your aligners are completed and delivered to your orthodontist, you can begin your orthodontic treatment.

Make an appointment with your orthodontist to pick up your aligners. While you're there, your orthodontist will likely make sure that your aligners are properly fitted, demonstrate how to wear them and go over your treatment plan with you in detail.

Any questions you have about SureCure treatment can be answered by your orthodontist while you are in this appointment.

A series of brief checkups will be scheduled during your treatment, which will allow your orthodontist to keep track of how well you're doing and ensure that your treatment stays on track.

5. Enjoy minimal disruptions

SureCure should integrate well into your busy lifestyle, no matter how hectic your day-to-day schedule may be! Because your aligners are removable, you shouldn't need to make any significant changes to your diet or at-home oral hygiene routine

6. Live your life!

Your SureCure clear aligners will be discreet enough that very few people should notice that you're straightening your teeth. So, get out there and smile!
