The SureCure™ Process
Learn what to expect step-by-step during the SureCure treatment process at Village Orthodontics.
Step 1
Initial Assessment
During your SureCure assessment, your orthodontist will examine your smile to determine if SureCure is right for you. The Village Orthodontics team will take x-rays which will be used to create a digital 3D image of your mouth.
Step 2
Custom Treatment Plan
Based on your initial assessment, your orthodontist will create a SureCure treatment plan just for you. The plan will outline the exact expected movements of your teeth, as well as the approximate length of your treatment. A series of custom-made, clear aligners will also be created for you based on your specific treatment plan.
Step 3
Begin Treatment
Once your custom aligners are ready, you will visit the orthodontist to ensure a good fit and get treatment underway. You will wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours each day. During your treatment you can also remove them to eat, drink, brush and floss your teeth.
Step 4
Switch Aligners Every Two Weeks
SureCure clear aligners will gradually shift your teeth into place. About every two weeks, you will switch to the next set of aligners in your series. You will also have brief appointments with your orthodontist every 8 to 10 weeks to check in on your progress.
Step 5
Maintenance
It's an exciting day when you reach the end of treatment! During your final SureCure appointment, your orthodontist will discuss next steps with you, and prescribe retainers to keep your teeth in their new positions.
